"Total time" is the total running time of your finished video, rounded up
to the next higher 1/2-hour. For example, if your tape runs 1:40, you would
round that up to 2 hours, 2 � $15 = $30.00. If your tape runs 1:15, you would
round that up to 1.5 hours, 1.5 � $15 = $22.50. We will only bill in 1/2-hour
increments.

Produce My Finished Video on

To provide your memories on DVD, we will add a $50 DVD mastering
charge to the above prices.  This covers up to 2 hours worth of transfers.  We no longer recommend producing your video on VHS tape.  DVDs are much more durable and once your photos and movies are in digital format there is much we can do to improve the color and contrast of your images that is not possible when your films are recorded straight to tape.  After careful editing and restoring of your footage, your video is then rendered frame-by-frame for the best possible reproduction before burning to disc.  We do NOT record your movie films straight to disc as some inexperienced transfer services do.  That type of real-time burning is notoriously prone to occasional hiccups in the playback, stuttering, and downright freezing and crashing during playback.  The extra editing, restoring and rendering time makes that $50 charge necessary, but very very worthwhile.

For example, 4 50' reels of movie film on VHS cost $28.00 plus $3.95 for
video tape stock.  The same 4 reels of movie film on DVD cost $28.00
plus $50 for DVD mastering.  The DVD charge covers 2 hours worth of video
on DVD.  You can fit approximately 32-38 50' reels of film or
over 600 slides or prints on 2 hours of video.  Our DVDs are produced on DVD–R discs
which are compatible with over 95% of all set top players.  In the unlikely event that
your player will not read the disc, we will re-burn it into most any other format at no charge
to you.

Extra VHS Copies

The rate is $15.00 for the first hour, and $8.00/hour for each additional hour
based on cumulative time of all copies from one master. This price does not include
blank tape stock – this is approximately $3.95 for each T-120. Other tape lengths
are available on request.

Please Read:

Films received in a damaged state, (i.e. large sections of missing sprockets, poorly done overlapping splices, scotch tape used for splicing, etc.) requiring splicing to run smoothly will be charged $2.00 per splice to be re-spliced using professional glue splicing. Every effort is made to run your films in the condition submitted, but occasionally this is necessary if the films are in very poor condition. Films submitted "tail first" (backwards on the reel) will be charged $1.00 per reel to set up for transfer. If these extra charges are necessary, you will be notified via email as we work on your project so you will be aware of any extra charges over your estimate.

The return of any film, print, slide or tape to us for transfer or any other purpose will constitute an agreement by you that if any such film, print, slide or tape is damaged or lost by us it will be replaced with an equivalent amount of unexposed film and processing or blank tape. Except for such replacement, the handling of such items is without warranty or liability even though damage or loss is caused by negligence or other fault. Not responsible for accidental erasure of pre-recorded video cassettes.
